Placebo Effects creates futuristic arch-viz animation
Oslo-based visualisation studio Placebo Effects cements its ongoing relationship with client IT-Fornebu Eiendom with this futuristic arch-viz film.

Placebo Effects' all-encompassing project is titled 'Blue Waves'
The video consists of a collection of projects the studio has done with the client, showcasing its live action – including a Tron-inspired segment – visual effects and arch-viz work.
“Our idea was to feature the creator – the architect – designing the building in a future setting,” says Placebo Effects’ CEO Kim Baumann Larsen.
“This allowed us to show key concepts such as the super surface that is both structural, and gives light deep into the building, as well as having a real person, which creates a deeper emotional connection with the audience.”
The architects originally created models in Maya and Revit, which Placebo Effects used as base geometry before editing and detailing in 3ds Max, and rendering with V-Ray.
Compositing was completed in After Effects and Photoshop.
