Houdini Apprentice Cook-Off competition launched

Side Effects has launched a new creative competition, offering prizes from itself, Stash Media, and cmiVFX to entrants

The Houdini Apprentice Cook-Off is a brand new competition focusing on food.

The goal is to create an animation or still image which involves the creation of, or consumption of food.

Entrants can use Side Effects’ free learning edition, Houdini Apprentice, in the competition. Learning materials are also provided by the software developers.

Prizes

Stash Media and training providers cmiVFX will also be involved, providing prizes for the winners.

Stash will be giving away a month’s free access to its online video library of animation, VFX and motion graphics just for registering to the competition.

Side Effects will be giving away copies of Houdini Master, Houdini Escape, and Houdini Apprentice HD.

Deadline for entries is 1 September 2011.
