Pixar has posted the trailer for its major 2012 movie release ‘Brave’ to YouTube
Brave sees a new direction from Pixar and is essentially the studio’s first fairytale, with a darker and more adventurous tone.
The mythical story takes place in the Scottish Highlands and sees princess Merida turn her back on tradition much to the chagrin of her father, the king.
The trailer, unsurprisingly looks great and will certainly whet the appetite of the Pixar fan after a wobbly display from Cars 2, which the Brave trailer first appeared alongside.
The film stars Kelly Macdonald as Merida, Billy Connolly as King Fergus, Julie Walters as Wise Woman, and Emma Thompson as Queen Elinor. The release date is currently set for 22 June 2012.
