The hardware and software supplier’s second industry day of 2011 covers film, TV, games and visualisation trends

Autodesk presents its take on the 3D industry at May's bluegfx expo, which is now returning for a second one-day event in November

After a successful inaugural event in May, bluegfx expo is returning for a second industry day on Thursday 3 November, gathering experts and artists from across the 3D industry to discuss hot trends and reveal upcoming technologies.

Speakers already lined up include Steve MacPherson, VFX CTO at Framestore; Chris Christodoulou, CEO of Saddington Baynes; and Tanguy Dewavrin, art director at Double Six Games. Topics on the agenda include stereoscopic 3D and collaborative workflow.

The series of events is organised by the well-known 3D hardware and software supplier bluegfx. “We’re extremely proud to be hosting the second bluegfx expo,” says bluegfx managing director Matt Allen. “The day will bring together a wealth of creative talent and experts who will help stimulate thought-provoking debate and offer valuable tips to their peers, as well as inspiring the students – our next generation of digital artists.”

The second bluegfx expo takes place on Thursday 3 November at the digital media college Ravensbourne, which is based near the O2 in Greenwich, London. It’s free to attend, but registration before the day is required.
