Cinesite launch 2012 Inspire Internship Programme
The VFX house adds a new technical effect placement to its annual internship programme

Cinesite has now opened pre-registration for its 2012 Inspire internship programme. This year a separate technical effects placement has been added for graduates with a specific interest in computer programming or technical aspects of VFX.
The Cinesite team has added this new role after seeing ‘a distinct lack of skilled programmers coming into the VFX industry.’
Managing director of Cinesite, Antony Hunt explains, “We’ve had great success over the past two years finding talented graduates to fill our traditional visual effects internship, but we’ve noticed that our industry is severely lacking young talented computer programmers. With this new strand we’re aiming to attract graduates with science degrees and educate them on how they can build a career in this exciting world-class industry.”
The new position will run in conjunction with the visual effects internship – both of which are paid and last six weeks starting in the summer of 2012.
Artists interested in applying can download application packs for both placements on the internship page of the Cinesite website.
