Software developer WTools3D has released the latest version of its modelling plug-in for LightWave

WTools3D has released version of 4.0 of LWCAD, the latest update to the modelling plug-in for LightWave. Users of LightWave will welcome this new release, which includes some impressive new features:

Full UV Mapping support – UV mapping support applied into every polygonal based tool
Shape Library 2 – next generation of Shape Library, fully compatible with the previous version
Streamlined toolset – redundant tools removed and enlarged functionality of existing tools

This release does not include any of the impressive NURBS surfacing tools showcased for LightWave CORE – whether these will be included in a future update is not yet known.

LWCAD is available now and priced at $299. To upgrade from version 2.x and 3.x costs between $149 - $225.
