CGSociety presents its retrospective of 2011

CGSociety has just posted its retrospective of 2011, presenting the community-voted list of CG-related coolness
CGSociety has just posted its community-nominated CG 2011 Retrospective. It’s always fun to see CGSociety pull together a year’s worth of software, hardware, films and ground-breaking technologies, and 2011 was a good year for releases… but for the list, CGSociety was interested in anything related to the CG industry.
While Autodesk doesn’t make the list, other free software developers do: for example, Blender comes in impressively in fourth place and Sculptris (now owned by Pixologic) comes in at number 16.
