Get the chance to work with Ridley Scott

Attention all indie filmmakers – YouTube has teamed up with director Ridley Scott to create the Your Film Festival

The Your Film Festival will work in a similar way to the recently launched One Cloud Festival on Facebook, which aims to bring independent filmmakers to audiences everywhere.

“Short filmmaking is exactly where I started my career 50 years ago, so to be helping new filmmakers find an entry point like this into the industry is fantastic,” Scott told the BBC.

“Through this program, YouTube will give filmmakers the opportunity to reach a vast audience, screen their work during the Venice Film Festival and potentially be rewarded in a career-changingway,” Robert Kyncl, global head of content at YouTube, said in a press statement.

This competition follows after last year’s YouTube mashup Life in a Day.
