Aardman Animations has released a brand-new featurette, recording the process of the creation of its film, The Pirates! Band of Misfits, due to hit cinemas on 30 March 2012.
Hot on the heels of its Christmas blockbuster animation, Arthur Christmas (that we covered in issue 151 of 3D World magazine), The Pirates! looks like a cracker, albeit a claymation one.
Peter Lord, co-founder and director of Aardman, and creator of everyone’s favourite plasticine character Morph, is the man behind the camera, so we’re in for a treat.
The trailer is hilarious and if you’re wondering if stop-motion animation looks good in 3D the answer is yes.
