Default Environments of 1950's America

Hi,

For part of my final major project at the Arts University College of Bournemouth, I have created some environments based on fifties america. I would like some constructive feedback please?!

The 5 renders took 8 weeks to make using 3ds Max, Mental Ray and Photoshop.

I am having trouble uploading the images so here is a link to my work:

While I have created this digital work, my strengths lie in physical modelmaking and some of my work can be found here:

Bushes and shrubs outside the one-unit homes, no trees. Sidewalks in front, and any trees would be planted in the strip of lawn between the sidewalk and the curb. Also each home should have a driveway and a garage - this looks more like military housing right now.

I think your works are good, but they still seems a little simple, maybe you can make some "bigger" projects,in which you can try to make more elements.

Red face

Car in first pic looks pretty ok, need some lighting work. The houses look like you were lazy because it looks like all you did was clone the one house you made, heck you didn't even bother moving the texture from one house to the next. My suggestion, vary window and door position and since it is black and white vary color tint. The other pics fall in between these two. Light bleeding through the floor of the car in the last pic. And overall very static looking.

They are all done quite nicely, my favorite was the old car by itself
