3D Art Essentials files not downloadable

I purchased a copy of 3D Art Essentials thinking I might be able to brush up on a few other software packages and was tremendously disappointed to find that most of the downloads in the entire 200+ page magazine did not work. If you are going to sell a magazine in the US for $25 and not include the files on disc you damn better be sure that they are downloadable. Don't know if I'll buy a product from this company again if I can't download the files. Sent an email to the Editor as well and have received no response.

I've just sent you an email about this. I've just tried a selection of downloads using the links published in the magazine, and all the ones I've tried are working correctly. Would you mind trying a couple of links now to see if they work for you? There may have been a temporary server fault before.

Build a car in Modo: Some work some don't

Rendering a car with HDR: Works

Hand crafted Illustration: Works

Expert tutorial: Works


Thats 9 out of 18 links that dont work! 50% bad job!

That took me 20 minutes. SURELY it's worth 20 minutes of someones time to check the url's before the mag goes to print!
This is not a cheap mag by any standards, and this is just unacceptable!

Need someone who can do the job properly? I need a job!

I've just tried every one of these, and they are all working - with the exception of the vegetation tips link, which is our production error. I have to assume that there was a temporary server fault, either with the tinyURL service of our own server hosting the files, but I am not seeing any problems today.

But FYI - The files for the Costa Rica link are the scene files for the "Pandora" tutorial, not the Costa Rican shoreline.

Odd, I was trying to download from - tinyurl.com/7ezscto - earlier and getting "webpage not found". I tried it once more before finishing my reply and it's working now. Don't know what that's about, as it was never a mistype.
